Matt Schulz, video editor and producer

I've developed my video production skills -- shooting, scripting and editing web content, as well as producing live shots -- during my tenure at CreditCards.com, and I love that part of my job. I edit in Final Cut Pro and After Effects, as well as produce live webcasts with Livestream software and live broadcasts using Vyvx.

Here are some samples of my work:

White House online town hall on credit card reform

Led CreditCards.com's execution of a video town hall held in cooperation with the White House. The event combined a live video feed from the White House with user questions submitted through CoverItLive.com's industry-leading chat application. The White House handled the production and streaming of the video; my team's job was to ensure that the online chat ran smoothly and that the participants -- including top economic adviser Austan Goolsbee -- received questions to be answered during the event. The clip below shows how it went.

Live satellite interview with Fox4 in Orlando

Produced and coordinated live satellite interview about credit card technology for Fox 4 in Orlando. The clip below features the interview.

Have also produced and coordinated satellite interviews with CNN, CBS Newspath and network affiliates in New York City, Boston, Detroit and more.

Cutting up a credit card the right way

Hard news, it's not, but this video that I edited and produced took off anyway. It ended up featured on Consumerist.com and Lifehacker.com and wound up being one of YouTube's most viewed How-To videos for a few weeks in September 2009. Viewed 130,000 times as of November 20, 2010.

Video town hall with credit bureau Experian

Organized, shot and produced all aspects of this 45-minute question and answer session with Experian, one of the nation's three biggest credit bureaus. It was broadcast using Livestream.com's white-label service called Watershed.
